Get in TouchWhat is sheet metal fabrication?
At its core, sheet metal fabrication is the process of building metal parts and products from raw metal sheets – such as stainless steel, aluminium and yellow metals (excluding gold). We use a range of techniques to create the perfect product for each and every one of our clients. The most common method is to combine separate metal components to form a larger end product.
Processes such as welding, electro mechanical assembly, laser cutting, powder coating, press braking and metal folding and more are utilised to mechanically join the components and produce a high-quality finish, resulting in a variety of products of various forms and sizes.
What can sheet metal fabrication be used for?
Sheet metal fabrication is a process with literally thousands, if not millions of potential applications – with various types of metal finishes for fabrication projects. To name a few applications, fabricators are often required to help create parts, displays, kiosks and more in a variety of industries.
Every project we work on at Salamander Fabrications is unique and has its own specifications, designs and requirements, which means that not only can we create the right product every time, but that we can also quickly and easily adapt our models to create entirely new and bespoke designs for our customers.
How do you ensure quality control and compliance?
Having previously been accredited by ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and OHSAS 18001 standards, we successfully migrated to International Standard EN ISO 45001:2018 for Health and Safety in 2019. ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) standards are also certified salamander.
Our team is entirely internal with no middlemen or outsourced workers, enabling us to monitor and maintain consistently high standards in everything we do.
What are the advantages of sheet metal fabrication?
Sheet metal fabrication is highly favoured across various industries for their versatility, cost-effectiveness, and durability. Specifically, sheet metal fabrication offers high-precision consistency on every project through automated technology, enabling rapid prototyping while delivering exceptional strength-to-weight ratios.
