Large Air Management Project

Background

Salamander were recently approached by a company who specialise in supplying air distribution products to the construction industry. The company required a fast turnaround of (x500) air distribution boxes with the first delivery date being 2 weeks from placement of order.

Solution

The project involved laser cutting the material to size, bending the boxes to accurate tolerances, swaging the different size spigots, spot welding the boxes together and then applying foam to the internal surfaces to insulate the boxes.

Additional Requirements

Additional to the galvanised units there were (x200) painted boxes included in the orders. All the units were delivered on time in full by Salamander’s fleet. The project displayed Salamander’s ability to step up to the challenge of handling large projects and delivering on time.
